Day 1: Arrival to Delhi
Arrive at Delhi International Airport. On arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to hotel. Overnight at the hotel
Day 2: Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel you will be taken to visit Old Delhi Former centre of Mughal Power, Old Delhi offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling bazaars. Drive past the Red Fort, built in 1648 and board the ‘rickshaw ride’ for a unique experience from the Red Fort, through “Chandni Chowk” or Silver Street, experiencing the sights and sounds of this very busy avenue-heading west from the Fort. Later visit the Jama Masjid, the greatest mosque in India and completed in 1658 by Shah Jahan who also built the Taj Mahal, and the Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.
This afternoon you will be taken to visit New Delhi drive past the stately government buildings of the British Era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayun’s tomb of the Mughal era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal. End the tour at the towering minaret of Qutub Minar.

Day 3: Delhi – Amritsar
Morning is at your leisure. Later transfer to the Airport for your flight to Amritsar.
Depart: Delhi at: 1240 hrs
Arrive: Amritsar at: 1400 hrs
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred from the Airport to your hotel.
Late afternoon proceed to Indian-Pakistan Border famously known as Wagah Border (28 km from Amritsar) to experience the “beating the retreat” ceremony when border is closed for the day after sunset.
Later this evening visit the Golden Temple to witness the night ceremony. Overnight at the hotel
Day 4: Amritsar
Morning sightseeing tour of Amritsar:
Golden Temple: During Maharaja Ranjit Singh's reign the lower half of the temple was decorated with marble while the entire upper half was inlaid with copper covered over by gold plate : hence its new name, the Golden Temple. Free kitchen and recitation of the divine word never cease here. Its four gates invite everyone from all directions.
Jallianwala Bagh: Martyrs' Memorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. Here, about 1500 to 2000 persons who were attending a peaceful meeting during the freedom movement fell under the bullets of the British General Dyer, on April 13, 1919. The British Queen Elizabeth II and her husband laid a wreath at the Memorial on 14 Oct.' 1997. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Amritsar – Dharamshal
Morning drive to Dharamshala (200 km), Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel, Rest of the day at leisure, Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Dharamshala
Dharamshala - the hill resort, once very popular with the British, is today the residence and headquarters of His Holiness the 'Dalai Lama' who set up his government in exile at Mcleodgunj. The town rises in levels up the hill from 1250m to 2000m with the dramatic peaks of the Dauladhar rising above. In the colourful Tibetan township are the newly built Gelugpa monastery and a school for Tibetan culture with an excellent library. The little shops sell Tibetan crafts and there are several restaurants that serve Tibetan food.
A little higher up the ridge is the pretty Church of St. John with beautiful stained glass windows and the grave of a former Viceroy Lord Elgin in its churchyard. Visit the Tashijong monastery - with a commanding view of the Kangra valley, this monastery is one of the several built after the Dalai Lama settled here. Tashijong also promotes arts like carpet weaving, tankha painting & block printing, and runs a school for young Tibetan children. The young guru of the monastery is recognized as the reincarnation of his predecessor and is very popular with his visitors.

Day 7: Dharamshala – Pragpur
Morning, drive to Pragpur (65 kms).
Pragpur - is located at an elevation of about 1800 ft in the Kangra valley is one of the most panoramic areas in Himachal Pradesh. Pragpur is a small village with a small population, which nestles below the majestic Dhauladhars- The white Ranges. It is unbelievably picturesque having held onto the essence of an earlier era, unchanged shops, cobbled street, an ornamental village tank, mud plastered & slate roofed houses.
Arrive & check into Judge’s Court.
Judge’s Court - built in 1918 by justice Sir Jai Lal and was designed by his father Bhandari Ram Kuthiala. It is set in a orchard on Mangoes, Lyches, Grapes and citrus amidst exotic trees like Camphor, Clove & Cardamon. Milk is from Judge Court's own dairy and water exclusively piped to it from its own Mountain. The Judge's Court offers you the possibility to savor either the authentic experience of 300 years ago or the ambience of the times of Kipling, Macauly and Viceroys of the likes of Lord Harding famous for the Great Darbar and a personal friend of the Judge. Day 08: Pragpur – Shimla
Morning drive to beautiful hill station of Shimla (77 kms)
The British Empire may have ceased to exist, but its echoes linger on in Shimla. As the ‘summer capital’ of the British in India, this was the country’s focus for the better part of every year and now, it is the state capital of Himachal Pradesh. Today, it’s well developed facilities, easy accessibility and numerous attractions make it one of India’s most popular hill resorts. Placed in the lower ranges of the Himalayan mountains it is surrounded by pine, deodar, oak and rhododendron forests. Towards the north lie the snow-covered high ranges. Within the town are a host of splendid colonial edifices, quaint cottages and charming walks.

Morning sightseeing tour of Shimla visiting, Tara Devi Temple- situated 8 kms from Shimla are two temples dedicated to Mata Tara Devi and lord Shiva.

Morning transfer to the railway station for your train to Kalka

Day 12: Delhi
