With a notoriously tumultuous present and past and an extraordinary geography, Vietnam is an amazingly rich and exciting nation that makes a mesmerizing travel target for holiday seekers. The country has an exceptional blend of the old and new which is expressed in the combination of ancient traditions and monuments with Western influences and contemporary buildings. Its scenery vary from the lively cityscapes of Ho Chi Minh City and the further tranquil, majestic feel of Hanoi, to the stunning limestone formations of Halong Bay and the ancient and charismatic imperial city of Hoi An.

Most of our tailor made holidays and tours take in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon) in the southern end of the Vietnam, here Chinese and colonial architecture blend in a lively and pulsating ambiance. Hanoi, in the northern part of Vietnam, today the country’s capital, has a celebrated French quarter and tree-lined promenades which provide a touch of tranquility in the middle of the city landscapes. There are astonishing beaches in central Vietnam and today’s reminders of the years of war with the Cu Chi tunnels and the scarred but tough Hue, near Danang.
