Alleppey is a fairly pleasant market town built on canals and is surrounded by coconut trees. The Arabian Sea lies on its west, and a huge network of lakes, lagoons and several freshwater rivers cross through. Alleppey is a district of immense natural beauty.
As you walk down the quaint streets, you can discover Alleppey’s unique architecture, built in Keralan styles. The markets have large quantity of rice, green coconuts, red chillies and fat rough skinned jack fruit.
