The attractive and imposing town of Porec is the most popular resort on the Istrian Riviera. The long history of the town is much in evidence as you explore the streets, and the influences of its Roman and Venetian rule in bygone years are obvious, as displayed by the wonderful Roman ampitheatre. The town offers an abundant selection of cafes, bars, restaurants, night clubs and shops. It is known for the good wine, ham, cheese, olive oil and more than 70 sports activities. It has 165 tennis courts located near to the sea. Most of the beaches and tourism hotels are located a few kilometers to the south of the town of which has pleasant sun and warm seas.
